How can I combine the Level One/Apparatus programs?

We usually recommend picking one training modality and focusing on it for a short time e.g. 3 months, so that you can achieve the skills you are working on and make some good gains. However, we have a lot of people who want to combine the Apparatus programs (Rings One, Parallettes One, and Floor One) because they prefer more variety with their training, which is also great.

Here's how we would recommend setting it up:
Pick one of the programs that you really want to get better at (you've got to prioritize one of them over the others). As an example, let's say that you want to prioritize R1. So we'll set that up to be worked twice in a six day split.

You can go four days in a row, or three on/one off, or two on/one off, or one day of rest in between them all. Here's an example.

6 Day Split Schedule

  1. Day 1 - Do R1
  2. Day 2 - Do P1
  3. Day 3 - Do F1
  4. Day 4 - Do R1
  5. Day 5 - Do P1
  6. Day 6 - Do F1

Then you would just follow the program charts as written for each program, starting with Day 1, and so on.

This is the best way to combine the programs. If this is something that interests you, the best option would be to consider our Specialization Curriculum (which includes Rings One and Two, Parallettes One and Two, and Floor One and Two).

Again, you'll have faster and more effective results with each modality if you focus on one at a time and  cycle your training (i.e. 3 months of ring training, followed by 3 months of parallette training, etc.).
