  • ๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿพ๐ŸšถWalking you through a session:

We know that reading the manual isn't the funnest part of putting together your new IKEA bed, but it sure as hell makes things a lot easier, and at the end of the day, you'll probably have a more stable swedish-made bed...

In the same way, you'll get more out of your GMB programs if you take the time to go through Session 1 in your Elements program or the Test Drive Program.  In these sessions, we explain everything about how the app works and introduce you to some of the movements we'll be covering in program.

If you need extra help, we also put together a session 1 reference document, here.

    ๐Ÿ˜ฏ Praxis Features:

    Setting your schedule:

First, you'll want to set up your schedule. To do that, you'll head to the Profile Settings page and click on schedule. Click the plus icon to add any program that you own.

If you want that extra accountability, by turning on weekly and/or daily notifications, Ryan will personally come to your home and drag you of bed. Just kidding...we will send you a reminder email though. ๐Ÿ™ƒ

    Variable time option:

When you first start your session, you'll notice you have the option to choose from 15, 30, or 45 minute sessions (60 for Integral Strength). Praxis will automatically adjust the programming to suit the time you choose so you can get your training in no matter your schedule.

Pro tip:  In the first couple assessment sessions, the programming may take slightly less time than the option you select. As the program progresses, it'll become more true to the timing you've chosen.
    Post-Prep Check-in:
After you complete the prep section, you'll notice we ask you how you're feeling. Yes, of course it's because we care but even more important, it's so you know how you feel.

If you select that you're feeling "ready to rock", the session will continue as is. If you select "felt more tired than usual", the session will continue with an adjusted level of intensity to be less strenuous. When you sign back in for your next session, you'll be given the option to repeat the session.

    Auto-play and skip tutorials buttons:
As you get more comfortable with the movements and how Praxis flows, you have the option to turn on and and off the "Auto-play" and "Skip Tutorials" buttons any time you want.

Auto-play will move you from one movement to the next seamlessly, while the skip tutorials button will well...skip tutorials. ๐Ÿ™ƒ
Pro tip: We recommend you turn off the "skip tutorials" button when you get to the practice sections, in case we introduce a new movement.
    The Ponder Section :
At the end of each session, you'll have a chance to pick your favorite movement, your most challenging movement, and rate the overall feel of your session. You can then write any custom notes you have about your session.

Taking the opportunity to reflect on the feel of each session is important for noticing improvements, recording light bulb moments and setting you up for success in the long run.

    Editing your session notes:
You can always review old ponder notes in the Session Breakdown area. Just head "My Programs", click the program you're trying to access, then scroll down to "Session Breakdown". Then pick the session you're trying to review.
At this point, there isn't a way to edit your ponder notes in Praxis unless you're a member of Alpha Posse.
If you're in Alpha Posse, you can edit your session details directly in the forums by pressing the "..." and then the "โœ๏ธ" button in your log area:

    Restarting your program:
While there isn't a way to reset your progress in Praxis and start all the way over from Session One, you can always access previous sessions from "The Session Breakdown" area. Just head to "My Programs", click the program you're trying to access, then scroll down to "Session Breakdown"

    โฌ†๏ธ Downloading your program:

Right now, we're keeping Praxis online and spending most of our time making the app better so as many people as possible can have a great user experience. In the meantime, if you're looking for simple routines you can write down and perform at the gym without any kind of device, we suggest checking out some of our free resources on  youtube or in our articles database.
If there's a specific resource you're looking for, chances are we've got it. Just google search "GMB Fitness + "body part" and you'll most likely find something useful.

    ๐Ÿ”ซ Troubleshooting:

We're regularly taking on your feedback to make Praxis better. Occasionally, when we make updates, a browser or a device may not register the change and things can get a bit buggy. When this happens, we often recommend clearing your cache and/or checking if you have any browser plug-ins enabled. Alternatively, you could try using a different browser or device which may also solve things. If you're still running into issues, give us a shout at [email protected] and we can dig a bit deeper into your issue.
